Tuck has left behind clues for them to take en route their journey to a destination they hadn't even thought of even in their wildest of dreams. The book breaks physical boundaries as it ventures into the direction of spiritualism or communicating with the spirits. They figure out that they didn't know anything about Tuck and about themselves, about their relationship and how intricately their lives were intertwined to take form of a labyrinth. The ex-lovers travel through time and space, through the medium of love, to know more about themselves and about the reasons that led them to where they find themselves. As they keep uncovering the mystery of their own truths over the funeral-weekend, they come closer to realize how separated they are. This is a tale on the complexities of a love story that is nothing less than extravagant.

The book has a clichébackground of a young love story coming of agee The author is very liberal in his usage of imagination sometimes to make you think, has he lost his mind? Nicholas Sparks has written books in the past that generated extensive mass appeal. Perhaps you think that Nicholas has mastered the craft of writing books that would be commercially viable and will sell. Well the book makes you ponder over the lack of some freshness. The author tries to break the egg with his hand without trying to get his hands dirty as he tries to fill spaces with narrations that lack depth and has hardly any effect on the story but yeah can take teenage girls on a ride of emotional frenzy. The love story is topped with some supernatural twists that fail to invigorate a response. This book disperses your notions you had while buying this book, that this would be a worthwhile read though know that Warner Bros are making a movie based on this book.
