Summary:
Sachin is 21, and he has everything that a young guy would fall in pursuit of, like a good qualification, and a beautiful girlfriend. He has his needs and wants in place you would think, but he is certainly far from being at peace with himself. Something in his life makes him see the world differently,through fear. And as the cookie crumbles, and as he is kicked in the gut by life he decides that it would be best put to use with the help of an escape that drives him away from letting his hurt get to him and making his suffering public. He decides to leave everything and rush off to Goa to start life afresh, from the scratch without the shadow of the past chasing him all the time. In Goa he sets off a new journey in life that will make him get through to various dimensions of vulnerability and paranoia to make it a worthwhile experience of living. The best way to do what you want to do is to make a living out of what you like and that is what Sachin is after suffering a scar that almost left him invalid for life.

The protagonist indulges in a rough ride through hell, as he refers to various boundaries in his head that need to be broken. Thus in order to make the pieces of his life fit he has to build a lie of events that he thinks will help him escape himself, but how can that be. He becomes the caretaker of a dying shack and wants to bring it back to life in all its glitter and liveliness. The time to get through to the other side of the tunnel has come or not is for him to decide, and he will be best put to use through the drug mafia and police trying to balance a victory of evil with the charade of a tug of war for supremacy. He has occasional brush ups with the law that forces him to the very edge of his feelings and being. His life is full of upheavals of trials, and branding of feelings that will bind him to his freedom found. Through Sachin the author tries to project an average young guy, fresh out of college and full of aspirations. The book holds a perspective that will let you know how fragile our life actually is, always resting on restlessness to push us towards our goal of life. He decides to throw away everything he was holding on to, and run to Goa for a fresh beginning; this incident brings you face to face with the escape artist that is present in every human heart that wishes to be free from the call for every test, so how far does it leads him will make you realize that you are actually undergoing a test as you try to flee one. Never Let Me Go is a book that will bring you face to face with your guilt that never lets you go.
